Code of Conduct

The DesignThinkers Code of Conduct is in place to ensure that all participants feel safe during the Conference.

Through RGD, Canadian designers exchange ideas, educate and inspire, set professional standards and build a strong, supportive community dedicated to advocating for the value of design.

At DesignThinkers, we seek to create a harassment-free conference experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. All participants, including speakers, sponsors and volunteers, are expected to comply with this code of conduct to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all in attendance.

Harassment is understood as any behaviour that threatens another person or group, or produces an unsafe environment including; deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately or risk expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.

If a participant feels this code of conduct has been breached, it should be reported it to an RGD staff member at the RGD Registration Desk as soon as possible. You may also email us at
