Kat leads a team of product managers and designers who define and execute the strategic vision of The Washington Post website, native apps, video, newsletters, alerts, newsroom tools, paywall, profile and other subscription products. Kat manages visual stories of all sizes, from breaking news to medium and long-term enterprise and leads the development of tools and templates that make visual storytelling easier for everyone in the organization. She has taught design and development at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and Georgetown University and her work has been honoured by the Peabody Awards, the Society of Newspaper Design, the Online Journalism Awards and the Malofiej International Infographics Awards.
