Designer, Academic & Creative Researcher
Anahit is dedicated to exploring the intersections of intellectual history, technology and education.
With a multidisciplinary background in design, art and philosophy, her work examines how intellectual movements such as Antiquity, Renaissance Humanism, the Enlightenment and Romanticism have influenced the development of modern technologies, including AI, robotics and human-computer interaction. With a deep interest in the history of design and computer science, she explores how historical movements have shaped digital tools, systems and contemporary design principles. Anahit has developed and taught courses in design history, the history of computer science, UI/UX, data visualization, digital storytelling, sustainable design and the Internet of Things. Her teaching approach emphasizes critical thinking and inclusivity, encouraging students to connect historical theory with present-day technological advancements. Anahit is currently completing a Master’s in Design for Creative Computing at Elisava, where her research explores the role of data visualization and sensory design in addressing contemporary challenges in educational systems. Simultaneously, she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at Simon Fraser University, with a thesis examining the philosophical foundations of robotics and AI. As both a creator and thinker, Anahit is committed to pushing the boundaries of design as a tool for cultural and technological transformation.
