Following the screening, the Director, Gary Hustwit
will participate in a Q+A discussion. Helvetica
is a feature-length independent film about typography,
graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at
the proliferation of one typeface (which is celebrating
its 50th birthday this year) as part of a larger conversation

to attend its 2007 gala at their member rate in support
of RGD Ontario and the conference. The gala will honour
legendary architect Eberhard Zeidler, celebrate the
70th anniversary of the Historic Toronto Stock Exchange
and feature Karim Rashid (DesignThinkers speaker) as
DJ. The Design Exchange (DX) is Canada’s design
museum, with a mission to engage and educate Canadians
about the value of design. It delivers design programs
that include exhibits, competitions, lectures and publications.
